I always enjoy it when a cold front comes through town, then I’m just as glad when it’s gone 48 hours later. Some other favorites from their menu are the Pancake Flight (3 of your choice!), the OMG! French Toast, and almost any of their Benedicts. Plenty of Yellowbird Sauce at each table! Yum! Rosemary sausage gravy, flaky pastry, a sunny side up egg on top, and hash browns on the side. (Don’t worry, he likes it when I steal his food….) That was Nate’s dish I just ended up stealing some of it. I was in a savory sort of mood this day, so I tried the Snooze Breakfast Burrito, stuffed with eggs, hash browns, black beans, jack and cheddar cheese, and smothered in a tomatillo-based sauce and pico. I mean, sure, it jumps 30 up or down in a day, but I’m pretty sure the weather has done that in every city I’ve ever lived in! We all just like to think our city is extraordinary in the weather department □ It’s cool. Side note: isn’t it funny how we love to say “ the weather in our town is so unpredictable!” as if that’s something special…haha. It was freezing in Austin on the day we ate here (<- ha…don’t get to say that very often!), so I started with a big cup of hot cocoa! Snooze has some yard games like jenga and cornhole for guests who are waiting! It’s just a popular spot! If you want to avoid a long wait, I’d recommend getting there earlier in the morning. When I’ve stopped in on a weekend, the wait can be 1-2 hours, and on a weekday the wait is more like 10-15 minutes. Good job, Snooze!īoth Austin locations are open 6:30AM-2:30PM. They’re interested in promoting education and sustainability, and along these lines, Snooze makes sure to source lots of their ingredients locally. One of the reasons I think Snooze is so cool is that they return 1% of their sales back to the community in the form of goods (pancakes!) and services. If I were to compare it to a local Austin chain, I would definitely say Kerbey Lane….both but emphasis on their huge variety of pancakes, offer lots of egg dishes, and are family-friendly! The biggest difference is that Kerbey Lane is open 24 hours and offers more lunch and dinner options, while Snooze definitely defines itself as “An AM Eatery.” Lamar (Snooze has 17 locations in CO, CA, AZ, and TX, with 6 more in the works!). I was so excited when Snooze made its way to Austin in May 2016. I had spent 8 weeks playing in a summer orchestra in Breckenridege (umm…best summer ever!) and was about to make the long drive back to Texas….but not before brunch! I woke up at 3 am instead of 5 am so I could meet with some friends in Denver for brunch at Snooze! I love my brunch so much! The first time I went to Snooze AM Eatery was in Denver, CO. I got to get myself organized, do a workout, relax and read at home, check a few errands off the list, and eat brunch! After a few back-to-back weekends of holidays, parties, friends, family, and non-stop busy-ness (don’t get me wrong…I love all of those things!!), it was nice to have a weekend with nothing on the agenda. Right inside is a large bar that specializes in brunch/breakfast cocktails.I had such a good weekend over here. I loved it! Everything about the place screamed FUN. Adding to this theme, the staff provides kids with capes too! Then the restaurant’s colors are all bright, vibrant 70s colors. Once inside, I was immediately taken aback by the fun inviting atmosphere! Each staff member rocked some super hero uniform for the day, including a ninja turtle with a spatula in her shell. I was able to find parking across the street, but that meant traversing a busy Montrose to make it to Snooze. On the day that I arrived, the parking lot was completely full. One downfall to this location though is parking. Offers gluten-free menu and gluten-free pancakes. Plus it’s right in the mix for a Saturday or Sunday brunch. Eatery in Austin with reviews from the gluten-free community. Located on Montrose and Westheimer, it’s a hop away from Washington and Midtown hot spots, for the after club crowd. Snooze AM Eatery honestly could not have picked a better location. Check out my experience below! Location/ Setup: The Houston location opened last week, but I was one of the lucky ones invited out to try Snooze during their soft opening. Houston officially joined the cool kids i.e. Austin with the opening of our very own Snooze AM Eatery!!
